Try leaving the disk in. Power the Xbox down. Then power it back on with the disk still in. I had tried that with Disc 1. Just tried it with Disc 2 and got the same problem : (. I'm just praying that the drive cleaner gets here today so I can rule that out and return the game.

In my opinion you should start out with Forza Motorsport 4 for the Xbox 360. It will give you a feel for simulation racing and the content is in abundance. The replay value for the game is impeccable. I have never played either horizon for the 360 but I had heard Forza horizon 1 is better than the two and that's not even saying much.
