I am a Mito 1.6 MJT and Fiat Grande Punto 1.6 MJT owner from Greece. I saw an old post from member @Kosterific, swaping a Giulietta 2.0 170 Motor and i was wondering if i could swap the newer 2.2 Multijet Engine which can be found in Giulia, Stelvio and Cherokee 2.2 instead of the 2.0 170 Giulietta engine. From what i've learned by asking some
Despite what the Fiat detractors would say, the 2.2 Multijet II is a very good engine for the Wrangler, with high torque / power and low consumption. Actually, it has been proven more reliable than the previous 3.0 EcoDiesel generation so will see what happens with the new 3.0 one

So far ,so good! 36,000km and not a problem! The Ducato is a base for a 7.5m motorhome. I average about 12,000km a year and have 36,000km on the clock. It has been faultless and has been a joy to drive. It has travelled up North on 43degC days and the Victorian Alps on 1-3deg days.

140 or 160: the right compromise. While the 120 hp model with the new 2.2 l Multijet H3 engine is capable of good urban performance, the restricted equipment options and its limited power mean that this version should not attract many professionals. On the other hand, the 140 or 160 hp versions show great versatility.
However, this is obviously based on the engine receiving good service maintenance, especially when it comes to the oil (it's known for the chain to "stretch" on the current Alfa 2.2 JTS engine if cheap, low quality/wrong grade oil is used). Also, the 1.3 is engineered to be a 'safe' engine in the event of chain breakage.
Unfortunately, however, the truth can be very different. Figures recently released by consumer warranty company Warranty Direct, show that Volkswagen, Audi and BMW make some of the least reliable engines on the market. Audi came second-from-bottom in the engine reliability charts with one failure in every 27, beaten only by the now-defunct MG Messages. 3. Points. 1. Jul 2, 2018. #1.
